Independence Pass

For travel to the Flower Show on SEPTA, the Independence Pass offers your best value for the day.  Accepted on all SEPTA routes for one day of travel (limit 10 trips), an Individual Independence Pass is $13.00. The Family Independence Pass ($30) provides up to 10 trips for one family of up to five people, traveling together (at least one person, but no more than two, must be 18 years of age or older).  An additional fee will apply when using the Independence Pass for travel from Trenton Transit Center and West Trenton Station.

Independence Passes can be purchased in advance since they are not activated until validated by a SEPTA Operator, Cashier, or Conductor the first time they are used.  Independence Passes are sold at all SEPTA Regional Rail Ticket Offices, SEPTA Sales Offices, the Transit Gift Store at 1234 Market Street, and online at www.Shop.SEPTA.org.

SEPTA Key Fare Program

With the launch of the SEPTA Key Fare Program, Medicare Cards and the paper PA Senior Citizen Transit ID Cards are no longer accepted for Senior Citizen (65+) travel. Seniors can travel for FREE on SEPTA, including on Regional Rail (from all stations in PA) when they use a SEPTA Key Senior Photo ID Card or a current Driver’s License/Non-Driver ID with a magnetic stripe that can be swiped through a turnstile.

As part of the SEPTA Key program, farelines, turnstiles, and ADA gates have been installed at Jefferson Station and the other Center City Regional Rail Stations (Suburban, Temple, 30th Street, University City).  You must have a prepaid fare that can be tapped, swiped, or presented to a SEPTA Key Fare Ambassadors before you go down to the train platform for your trip home after the Show.  We recommend that you purchase a round trip fare before you come to the Convention Center – either at a SEPTA Ticket Office or on-board the train from the Conductor.  If you forget, stop by the Sales Office when you arrive at Jefferson Station so you will have your fare when you’re ready to head home.

The Key Ambassadors will collect or inspect fares at the turnstiles (A& B Sections of the Station) for your trip home after the Show during the hours and days as noted below.  At all other times, you can go directly to the platform and fares can be purchased on board the train from the Conductor.
