Challenge plants are a great introduction to entering the Flower Show. All exhibitors start with the same plants and grow them for competition. Only plants purchased from PHS are eligible to be entered. Challenge plants for the 2017 Show are a Lavandula (lavender), Polystichum (rock fern), and an Alsobia (gesneriad).
Challenge plants are available for $8 each at PHS Meadowbrook Farm, 1633 Washington Lane, Meadowbrook, PA 19046 (visit www.meadowbrookfarm.org for hours and directions). We suggest that you contact Meadowbrook Farm to see if plants are still available (215-887-5900). No plants are available at PHS headquarters.
The Exhibitor’s Guide (see above) contains all information about how to enter the Show.
