Using Green Practices to Restore the Jenkintown Creek

The Tookany/Tacony-Frankford Watershed partnership is implementing stormwater and stream restoration projects with multiple landowners along the 3.7 mile Jenkintown Creek in Abington Township. This presentation will cover the use of native plants and live stakes in green stormwater infrastructure including rain gardens, constructed wetlands, stream buffers, and bioswales.

Show-goers will have the chance to see the finalists present their designs and can vote for their favorite. The Airport and PHS will take the votes into consideration to pick the winning design.
