Bloom Philly Festival, the official Countdown to the Philadelphia Flower Show, encourages everyone in the Philadelphia region to break out of the winter doldrums and celebrate the coming of spring! Flower Show excitement is contagious as it spreads across the region.
The Bloom Philly Festival will run from February 17 to March 2, 2018.

For Parkway 100, the centennial celebration of Philadelphia’s Benjamin Franklin Parkway, the Parkway Council presents Jennifer Steinkamp‘s Winter Fountains, a major installation commissioned by the Association for Public Art (aPA). Winter Fountains serves as a centerpiece of Parkway 100, which includes more than a year of public events and activities (parkway100.org). Winter Fountains will be on view at four locations along the Parkway nightly from sunset to midnight, and is made possible with major support from the William Penn Foundation.
Power of Water: Mural Arts Philadelphia, PHS and the Philadelphia Water Department
Mural Arts Philadelphia, PHS, and Philadelphia Water Department will announce a new mural project next week, Water Gives Life by Eurhi Jones and David McShane. Water Gives Life will celebrate the present innovations and future vision of these organizations to bring forward-thinking sustainability and beauty to Philadelphia, improving the quality of urban life. The mural is a reimagining of the Mural Arts Philadelphia and Pennsylvania Horticultural Society mural painted by McShane in 1998 at the same location on 13th & Arch Sts. This enormous (42-foot x 115-foot) work of art to be completed this spring will continue to bring a magnified celebration of nature right to the heart of Center City.
