Fashion for Empowerment

Booth 420

At Fashion For Empowerment, fashion is an agent of social change to help women turn challenges into opportunities and take control of their futures. From the first sketch to the last stitch, we are 100% transparent in our values and our processes. We open the door to economic independence and lay the groundwork for long-term sustainability by creating jobs, supporting education, and providing skill training. From our timeless, handmade pieces to life-changing opportunities we create, we’re cultivating a movement that is made to last.

As a social enterprise, we collaborate with organizations in developing nations who work with marginalized and at-risk women. Together, we form artisan cooperatives that empower women to become financially-independent entrepreneurs.

We offer hand-crafted textiles made through old-world techniques for timeless quality and to eliminate fast-fashion ideals. These products are crafted by our artisans from organic, naturally-dyed, and chemical-free materials like bamboo, organic linen, organic cotton, and mulberry silk. We aim to re-introduce a holistic approach to sustainable fashion.

The pieces we design and sell seamlessly fuse the quality and craftsmanship of traditional hand-crafting techniques with modern styles and functionality. From our studio in Boston to women-led cooperatives internationally, we’re using fashion as a tool to create remarkable change.
